The process

Sew Good Interiors was founded by Johanette Greyling, with a passion for creating spaces that combine comfort, style, and sustainability. With a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and a commitment to user-friendly design, the company specializes in transforming interiors into inviting havens that reflect individuality and purpose.

Guided by values of creativity, quality, and responsibility, Sew Good Interior champions the art of reuse and upcycling, breathing new life into materials and furnishings. By blending timeless aesthetics with innovative approaches, the company ensures that every project is both beautiful and environmentally mindful.

The mission of Sew Good Interiors is to craft meaningful spaces that not only look good but also feel good—prioritizing comfort, fostering sustainability, and delivering personalized designs that tell a story. Their vision is to inspire others to embrace stylish yet conscious living, one space at a time.

What happens next:

Trust us, or maybe you already know — interior design is made up of a million details and decisions (layouts, fabrics, finishes, furniture, orders, construction, project management, deliveries).

You won’t be the first if you come to us overwhelmed with ideas, concepts, and inspiration photos, or maybe  you don’t even know where to begin. This is why we set our interior design services within a concise, creative process. This allows us to get to the root of who you area so we can create a home that complements your lifestyle, without overwhelming you with the many exciting, yet intricate layers of interior design.

The most valuable part is what you and your family are inclined toward, the design that won’t just fit your life, but will be made for your life.

Your home or office is our priority

1Consultation and On-site visit
Interior design is all about the countless details and decisions—layouts, fabrics, finishes, furniture, orders, construction, project management, and deliveries. It’s a lot to navigate! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by ideas, inspiration photos, or even unsure where to start, you’re not alone. That’s exactly why our interior design services follow a streamlined and creative process. We take the time to understand who you are and what you need, crafting a home that not only reflects your style but also enhances your lifestyle. At the heart of it all is you and your family. Our goal is to design a space that isn’t just a perfect fit for your life—it’s thoughtfully made for it.
2Gather the specifics
After the proposal and contract, you’ll fill out a very detailed client questionnaire to identify the style and details of your project in preparation for our kickoff design meeting where we will further hone on style, design ideas, measurements and any details required for us to design your space.
3Design and Implementation
Next, we will hone in on your project’s aesthetic and design goals by gathering inspiration through photos on Instagram, Pinterest, Houzz, magazines, etc. We will create a project mood board presentation to ensure the design direction is agreed upon before we begin the final design process. We will work hard putting together your final design presentation. Together, we will make final selections and work on any needed revisions.
4Procurement, Project Management & Final installation
From there, Sew Good Interior will manage coordination with contractors, cabinet makers and sub-contractors, procurement, receiving, storage and white glove delivery, including all furnishing installation, and final styling. At the end of the day, you’ll feel like it’s your home.

What to expect with our Design Services

PRODUCT SOURCING

Product sourcing is all about finding the right pieces to bring your vision to life, but it’s not always about starting from scratch. I love working with what you already own, breathing new life into treasured items through thoughtful revamps and creative updates. I understand that furniture, books, and art often carry sentimental value, and I’m dedicated to honoring those connections by seamlessly weaving them into your design.

When new additions are needed, I’ll personally source them from trusted suppliers, ensuring they match your style, budget, and practical needs. With access to exclusive vendors and a focus on quality, I’ll help you create a cohesive space that feels both fresh and familiar. My goal is to save you time, craft a design that tells your story, and give you the confidence of knowing your space is in caring hands.

"Design is coming to grips with one’s real lifestyle, one’s real place in the world. Rooms should not be put together for show, but to nourish one’s well-being."
